The department of aviation and maritime
transportation management was founded in 1996. The
master program was established in 2005.
The vision of the department is to build a
world-renowned program by utilizing the abundant
industrial and academic resources of Taiwan’s
international transportation industry. The purpose
of the education is to build up the needed
transportation management professionals who are
capable of accomplishing their missions at their job
positions. The students are trained to possess the
following qualities: good moral character, proactive
problem-solving ability, and practical industrial
experiences. The department also devotes to
researches in various transportation topics,
including planning, designing, strategies,
e-commerce, and laws. To enhance the competitive
edges of the students, the department continuously
strengthens the links between the department and the
industry. In order to let the students have the
chance to integrate what they learned in school, the
department arranges various kinds of practical
training jobs for the students to obtain the
first-hand job experiences.
There are two major fields in the undergraduate
program. They are the aviation management program
and the maritime transportation management program.
The student number of undergraduate program in 2006
is 486. The student number of master program is 24.
The faculty number of the department is 11.
One-sixth of the class 2005 continued their study
both domestically and abroad. All other students got
job offers since their graduation. For more
