長榮大學大眾傳播學系

★設系宗旨

本學系於84學年度向教育部申請設立，為南台灣第一所大眾傳播學系（以下簡稱「大傳系」），目前仍是台南地區唯一以「大眾傳播」為名的大學學系，爲培養大眾傳播人才，本系設立宗旨如下：

(1) 加強人文素養、形塑傳播倫理
	秉持人文傳播的教育理念，重視傳播倫理與媒體責任觀念之培育。

(2) 傳授傳播學理、落實媒體實務
	掌握大眾傳播之多元形式，提供傳播學理與媒體實務之智能學習。

★Purposes of Education

In 1995, The Department of Mass Communication was established with the permission of the Ministry of Education. We share our college’s Christian spirit of love and service as well as the belief in a liberal arts education. Our educational goals are the following:

(1)	To facilitate our students’actualization through the humanities and enhance their communication ethics: We hold to the principles of an education in the humanities and are devoted to teach students about communication ethics and media responsibility.
(2)	To familiarize students with communication theories and media practices: We master various media formats and provide students with knowledge in communication theories and media practices.
