•Curriculum Features

1Curriculum of the Graduate School targets on the art talent and researchers on both art theory and art literature fostering through the development of art theory and professional ability.

2Professional curriculum consists of two groups: “inkwash drawing” and “western drawing” with the emphasis of integrated courses and multiple learning channels.

3In addition to the aim to improve art creation standards, the Graduate School. focuses

on research ability development on relevant art issues.  Students are required to take courses on creation theories and research method of visual art.

 

•Facilities

Facilities are shared by both the Department and Graduate School of Visual Art.

Classrooms of Inkwash Drawing and Western Drawing are located at the basement of

the Third Teaching Building, classrooms of pottery, sculpture, drawing inside

Recreation Building, and other classrooms of Inkwash Drawing and Western Drawing

at Mango Orchard. 

 

•Prospects of Development

1Talent fostering: mainly on creation and research and development of visual art in the fields of inkwash drawing and western drawing.

2Curriculum design: based on systematic, thoughtful and flexible, and theoretical and practical consideration.  

3Teaching model: with the emphasis on open discussion, research project, workshop, field study and experiment, and one by one teaching.

4Research concept: with the consideration of features of local culture and vision of international art.

5Promotion service: 1. working with local cultural and art institutes to promote art activities; 2. conducting international cooperation on art research.

6Future prospects: planning to establish PhD program to cultivate the first class research talent of visual art.
