Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU), adhering to
Christˇ¦s love for humanity, aims to create talents with the spirit of
piety, diligence, honor and service. With the support of the Board of
Trustees and under the excellent leadership of the President, the
university has grown and developed steadily. On August 1, 1992, Chang
Jung College of Management was renamed Chang Jung Christian University
reaching a milestone of the schoolˇ¦s mission and objective. CJCU is
located close to the Tainan Station of Taiwan High Speed Railway and the
interchanges of National Freeway I, II and Expressway 86.
The College of Management is one of the five colleges
at CJCU. To meet the need of management talents for economic
development and business management, the College sets as a goal to train
talented young people to be able to integrate the knowledge of business
operations and management, information technology and international
trade and to possess professional ethics, the ability to communicate and
the enthusiasm to serve. After Taiwan joined the WTO, businesses are
developing towards internationalization and globalization. As the
College is located near Tainan Science Park, Luchu Science Park, Tainan
Technology Industrial Park, and industrial parks of Anping, Baoan,
Guantian and Yongkang, we will actively promote cooperation between
academia and the high-tech industry and assist the operations and
management of traditional industries in their transformation for the
expectation of combining theory and practice and balancing teaching and
research.
In terms of organization, the College of Management
currently has one Executive Master of Business Administration Program
and eight departments/graduate school: Graduate School of Business and
Operations Management (including Master and Doctorate programs),
Department of Business Administration (including Master program),
Department of International Business (including Master program),
Department of Accounting and Information Systems, Department of Aviation
and Maritime Management (including Master program), Department of Land
Management and Development (including Master program), Department of
Finance, and Department of Sports and Recreation Management (including
Master program). The students of the College is around 4,577, about 45%
of total students at CJCU. There are about 120 full-time faculty
members, approximately 36% of the total number of faculty. There are
also 102 adjunct faculty members. Overall, the College of Management
has a comprehensive combination of departments and graduate schools and
possesses excellent faculty and advanced equipments / facilities
offering both faculty and students a high quality environment for
teaching, learning, and research.
In recent years, in addition to continuing upgrade
the quality of teaching and the level of research, the College is
actively working towards internationalization by recruiting
international students, inviting foreign professors, holding
international conferences and developing international academic
exchanges. By rooting in Taiwan and overlooking the world, the College
would be regarded as a cradle of cultivating management talents. |
