Led by Associate Professor Shao Pei-Chi from the Department of Aviation and Maritime Transportation Management (DAMTM) of Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU), seven students went to Japan from September 4 to September 11 to participate in the “Study Camp of Issues Related to Public Transportation” organized by Prof. Hajime Tozaki of J. F. Oberlin University, Japan. Participants from Japan, Taiwan, and Sri Lanka discussed strategies to promote the tourism industry and public transportation and visited Shinjuku Campus of J. F. Oberlin University, The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, JAL Integrated Operations Control (IOC) and Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center. The DAMTM Chair, Shyu Wen-Hwa, said students were exposed to full-English introduction to Japan’s public transportation system and guided to address development of the tourism industry in the post-pandemic era.
