Date:2026/05/05

On May 3, 39 faculty members and students from Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU), led by Dean Hung Ching-Yi of the International College of Sustainability Innovations and Environmental Education, participated in the 20th Taijiang Water Day cycling event. Traveling from the CJCU campus to Wushantou Reservoir along the Chianan Irrigation Canal and major rivers, participants demonstrated their commitment to the theme, “Caring for Our Homeland and Protecting Water Resources.”

The event also welcomed international students from Tanzania, Burundi, Eswatini, Saint Lucia, Uganda, and Malaysia. By tracing the origins of southern Taiwan’s water system, participants gained a deeper understanding of Tainan’s water resource history, infrastructure development, and sustainability challenges. The activity showcased CJCU’s commitment to environmental education and international engagement while emphasizing the importance of water conservation for future generations.
